Process of an Anonymous Burial
We guide you through every step — reliably and compassionately.
Six steps to a
dignified farewell
An anonymous burial in NRW follows several clearly defined steps. Our goal is to relieve you of as much work as possible during this difficult time.
Initial contact
You can reach us at +49 1511 7463888 or by email at info@irespect.com. We are available Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:00 and Saturday from 9:00 to 16:00. You can also contact us anytime via WhatsApp.
Personal consultation
In a confidential conversation, we jointly clarify the type of burial, your wishes and your budget. We inform you transparently about all costs and available options. There are no hidden fees.
Collection of the deceased
Our local partner funeral director takes over the deceased — from the hospital, nursing home or from home. The transfer to the funeral home or directly to the crematorium is carried out with dignity and discretion.
Cremation
For an urn burial, the deceased is cremated at the crematorium. Under NRW burial law, a mandatory waiting period of at least 48 hours after death must be observed. Cremation usually takes 1 to 2 hours. The ashes are then placed in a bio-urn.
Anonymous burial
The urn or coffin is interred at a municipal cemetery in the city of your choice in an anonymous communal grave field. In an anonymous burial, the interment takes place without relatives present. The exact date and burial plot are not disclosed.
Documents and completion
After the burial you receive all necessary documents: the death certificate, the burial permit and a confirmation of the completed burial. Our partner funeral director also handles de-registration with the pension provider and health insurance.
Average Duration
The entire process usually takes 5 to 10 working days.
